"Optional" Music from the anime
Another slice of life/romance anime from the peak of the category.
Chuunibyuu demo koi ga shitai is about Yuuta, a high school boy, who went to a further school that none of his past classmates went to just to start a fresh life and forget about his past, which he now holds a secret.
That secret, and also the reason he avoided his past classmates, is that in the past, he had a severe case of "chunibyo", in other words, "seventh-grade syndrome", which means that he had a strong imagination and found himself unique and completely different than all the other people, having the idea that he had hidden powers and such, and that led to him making quite the embarrassing remarks and poses, leading him to become an outcast.

On the other hand, we have Rikka, a high school girl, that is Yuuta's classmate, which from their first meeting, without a slight hesitation, she appears to behave exactly as Yuuta did in the past, and apparently, she also knows Yuuta's past as she confronts him immediately about it.

And that's the first meeting between our two protagonists.
Yuuta trying to leave behind his past and move forward, being a normal high school student, with friends and a normal social reputation.
And Rikka, not caring about how others see her, trying to bring out Yuuta's past self, because, based on her, he was the one that played a huge role in her becoming like that.
Apparently, Rikka has been watching over Yuuta from the old days of his, his confidence in what he believed, and at the time, that was exactly what Rikka needed, a gateway from reality.
And now she also wants to create a school club associated with her fantasies and of course she will try to make Yuuta join as well.

The music is very unique and it fits perfectly every moment, and the animation is just spectacular, Kyoto animation did an amazing job once again.
Has two seasons with a couple ova's and a movie, all worth to watch. (Movie also has nice progress on romance).
Now, honestly, this anime literally has all that you would ask from a slice of life/romance,
the characters are full of life,
the story is cute while it also has a plot to follow,
and it has a nice balance between its sweet moments, funny moments, and serious ones.

But, I will say that it's heavily focused on the pure aspect of the romance, the characters try to follow their own pace and get through their difficulties steadily, so don't expect anything fast, for real, but at the same time that's what makes this anime so great, the wholesomeness makes you forget about everything else, so you can just sit back and enjoy it fully.
The story is mostly focused on the two main protagonists but it still doesn't fail to enrich the side characters as well.
Everyone has their own story and ideas, so the worldbuilding feels rich, and their choices of acts make sense as they correspond to their character.
In conclusion, this is an amazing choice for anyone that wants to watch a romance that is a bit outside of the normal, wholesome, pure, and easy on the heart, perfect to relax on a cozy night.
Once you finish it you will understand that it's a life that you would think is unrealistic, but you will still feel, deep down, that you would wish you could have such a unique relationship, well, you never know what the world and future hold for you.

OP 1 = It's one of those, those that you can't stop watching every single episode because it really is well made, pretty much the theme of the whole anime.
OP 2 = Not as good as the first one, but still quite good.
ED 1 = An actual good ending for once, and not just that, the music is pretty catchy not gonna lie.
ED 2 = Kinda cute, good music as well...has some...aspects that I will not comment on.
Ending comment:
"BONK" indeed
