"Optional" Music from the anime.
From the lands of the slice of life/romance categories, after many years of manga readers begging for an adaptation, It's finally here.
Horimiya is an anime about a boy named Miyamura, who has distanced himself from everyone else, keeps a boring and bland appearance at school while being very different outside of it.

And a girl named Hori that desperately tries to keep perfect appearances while being in school and at the same time hiding the bland look of being a reliable sister for her little brother that she has to take care of as well as always doing the housework since her parents are almost never home.

And thus the story begins with them coincidentally meeting outside of school, appearing very different, and with their secrets being out in the open, they decide to not tell anyone about it and continue with their meetings after school at Hori's home.

I gotta say, from all the romance anime I have watched, this one is one of my favorites.
Now, I know that many say that it is not as good as the manga, which, I agree with because the material in the manga was much more detailed and it also had a lot more content.
But while the anime skipped some chapters, not even mentioning the last episode that is literally from the end of the manga, symbolizing that there is no way for any more seasons to come out in the future, I will still say that while the whole anime was just a small taste of the relationship between the main couple and even the side characters, they still managed to make it all add up by putting the important episodes in, and making it clear that it didn't all happen in a week, time actually passed, and the relationships were built carefully.

Music, amazing, animation, amazing, and the best part, it really finishes off with a realistic ending, nothing extreme, and neither rushed, it was literally an ending that pretty much looks upon everything that has happened from the start till now, how it changed them, and the hopeful idea of how it will continue.
This anime has a start and a finish, the progress between the characters feels realistic as they do not just fall in love because the plot tells them so, it is with reason, lovable characters, and while knowing that its a fictional story, you still have that lingering feeling that it could also happen to you.
It is one of the few stories that actually show the progress of the side characters properly with detail while still keeping the story completely interesting.

In conclusion, this anime is 100% for anyone searching for a good romance that stays within reason and realism, while also having that wondrous feeling, and if you feel like it, I STRONGLY recommend reading the manga as well, you will understand the essence behind their story, and you will see a lot of amazing and funny moments that weren't shown in the anime.

Damn this scene was amazing.

The anime is more concentrated on the romantic part rather than the comedy since they also skipped a lot of chapters that were focused on comedy, which, is a little disappointing, but at this point, I am greatful that we got an anime. I know that old adaption also exists, that thing was an interesting watch, but it had almost nothing from the good side of the story, so I will avoid recommending that one unless you're curious.
OP = Amazing, the song choice was very good, and the animation was captivating, especially that change in between the season made it about three times better.
ED = Meh, I mean, the music is okay, don't really want to comment on the animation choice, I mean, that weird CGI was...well...you will understand what I mean if you watch it yourself.
